Dinner Stop Over

Little stink bug on my binoculars, you must think it odd that I am trying to see the world large and close up, as you naturally do everyday. How I envy your eyes. Do you see more? Do you see the things I don’t? Can you see the way we are destroying the earth, killing everything with pesticides and fertilizers? Are you here to make a fuss and raise a stink about it? Is this why you have come to me, to open my eyes, to show me? Or are you just passing through on your way to dinner?

  2. Great photo, and interesting to think about the mess we've made of the earth through the eyes of one of our fellow creatures.

  3. I hope the stink is really big - or at least it ought to be. Well chosen words.

  5. Great post, fabulous photo and I have to agree with Janie about how the mess we've made of the earth is seen through the eyes of a fellow creature!

  6. Your photo and comment resonated with me. How we must learn to love the creatures that so many folks dismiss with disdain: it's just a bug! As if a bug's welfare didn't matter. I'm glad folks like you help restore the balance.

  8. Imagine how such a small creature would see the world. The more macro photography I do, the more I see, and that makes me want to look even closer to see more.

A great photo and a very thought provoking post.

  10. Do not like these creatures, but we have them often when eating dinner BBQ outside our cottage.
If you crash them they smell rotten dirt

  14. Compassion for a stink bug. Well why not. We humans make far more stinky emissions. Their defense is rather endearing when you think about it. Kind of like Pepe Le Pew.
