Ridge and Valley of Snow

These peaks reminded me of the ridge and valley geology of my region.

I took this photo of my steps about mid-day. I think I finally ended up with 2 feet of snow but it felt like 6 feet when I began to dig out. It is very beautiful outside now.

Looks familiar. We didn't get quite as much as you, but what we got was too much:)

Cool idea for a photo! (Darn, I'd wish I'd thought of that!)

We were hoping we might get snow for Christmas, now it is looking like thunderstorms for Christmas Eve, somehow it's not the same. Enjoy your snow. ~ Calico Contemplations

Holy Cow - have some snow! All your weekend photos are fantastic. I'm so glad the birds have you to feed them (that little wren is going to need all those calories she stole)! ~nutmeg.

A really nice way to utilize the pattern of the snow. I must see what I can find now that we have got snow too.

That is a great shot. You have a great eye for a photo, seeing the possibilities in simple things.
