Patterns

Yesterday I made a visit to the National Botanical Garden and was captivated by the beautiful patterns found in these ferns and other plants.  I couldn't decided on a favorite one so I just uploaded them all.

Visit more Monochrome Weekly for some very interesting monochrome photos.

Wonderful photos! I can see what you mean about not being able to choose a favorite - they're all so appealing. Nice job capturing the patterns and light!

Squirrel: I love ferns, and during this snow-covered winter I'm not getting even a dead Christmas fern fix. Thanks for posting the photos! At least I got a photographic fern fix today.

Just exquisite! Mother Nature is quite the artist, and you have quite the eye to capture the beauty.

Tom Ang calls these kinds of photos leaf calligraphy. Glad you shared all of them. I'm drawn to the second one especially. The light perhaps? Wonderful series.
