Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

I originally had not planned to go to Monument Valley but my mother suggested that I should.  I must confess that I did not see all of it.  I made the mistake of thinking my small camper van could travel the road but I was so so wrong.  I thought my camper was going to rattle apart at the seams so I turned back sooner than I had planned.

I did see some beautiful sights though.

A storm was coming just as I was leaving.

"It is not the language of painters but the language of nature which one should listen to...the feeling for the things themselves, for reality, is more important than the feeling for pictures." --Vincent Van Gough, artist

Wow. Just relived my photo sojourn of monument valley. I stand corrected... From Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park to the words of a master who had greater vision, one all artists should seek in their lives. Having oneness with the Stone People is precious and sacred.
