Walk around the neighborhood

After the snow yesterday I needed to get out of the house, see if the neighborhood was driveable and stretch my legs.

The creek was especially beautiful and visiable. In the summer I can barely see it.

I keep thinking that in the summer I will walk down there but I never do.
Somehow other places seem more exciting.

Perella in the snow.

Even little branches look good in the snow.

Deer tracks next to the yard.

Heading back home.

This is the home of a Gray Squirrel next door to my house. I often see them in the summer resting on that side limb just outside the round opening. I guess it is the version of a squirrels deck. It is in one of the highest trees so have a great view. Rent is probably cheap as well. The bird diner is just next door and acorn trees are plentifyl so I suspect this will be a home for a long time.

For more exotic places visit Scenic Sunday.

  3. My first instinct when it snows is to get out in it like you. I love when it's still all white and untouched by sand and slush. Ours is mostly melted now and what's left is dirty, I'm sure more will be on the way soon! yay!

  6. Thank you for sharing all these snow pictures, in yesterday's post as well as this one. Up until four years ago, we lived in Delaware - and it never snowed. Now that we're gone, I think they got close to three feet in this storm. I love snow, love to walk in it, so this shared snowstroll was a real treat. Now we're in Albuquerque, watching it snow all around us, but very seldom here in the Rio Grande Valley.
I love your blog, and visit often.
